Video quality is bad on my laptop
When I put a movie into my brothers laptop, the quality looks fine, but as soon as I put it on mine the graphics are horrible. I've googled and no results also.

well first things first.
Try playing it using this player
VideoLAN - Official page for VLC media player, the Open Source video framework!
It is completely self contained and doesn't use any of the windows media player functions or codecs.
If it's clear in that player we likely have a media player problem.
If it is also poor quality in that player we likely have a problem with the display.
Fully updated video drivers ? Are you using windows media center to watch them or something else ? What processor do you have ?
Upload your system specifications, I'll attach a screenshot if you don't know how (:
This will explain how to attach screenshots, if we will need any from you: Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums

Sorry for the slow reply, time differences between us :P
Bingo, and I bet your power plan is set to save as much battery life as possible too huh?
Try setting your power plan to performance and plugging it in.
I think your laptop may be undervolting your graphics in an attempt to consume less power.
