Windows live movie maker help Ok well i just recently dowloaded windows live movie maker from the microsoft website. My videos imported fine and i proceded to edit them. however, when i was done i saved it and it converted to mp4 and i when i went to replay to get it ready to upload to youtube there was audio but no video. I thought forsure this was a codec problem so i downloaded some codecs on microsofts website and also a media package from a third party site and still no luck. What could be going wrong here? Thanks for any advice! | My System Specs |

I have similar problem. Have used Live Movie Maker for 6 months on Windows 7 with plenty of ram. Just edited another movie and tried to save and it just froze. Uninstalled and reinstalled--same problem. Used Reginout as someone earlier suggested and no fix. Everything else about it is fine except when I try to save. Have not installed any other programs which could conflict. Any ideas? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number dell OS windows 7 Memory 8 gigs |

I can't help you with Live Movie maker as it had such a bad press I didn't even bother to download it but I think you made a mistake with Reginout. Many many times you will see on this forum that these registry so called cleaners often do more damage than good. You don't need these third party programs with Windows 7.
I might be able to throw some light on your problem but would need more detail. When you say you tried to save the video what exactly did you do and what format did you try to save as. Where did the original video come from and what format was it in? | My System Specs | | OS Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 7601 Multiprocessor Free Service Pack 1 CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz Motherboard ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. I might be able to throw some light on your problem but would need more detail. When you say you tried to save the video what exactly did you do and what format did you try to save as. Where did the original video come from and what format was it in? I was sceptical at first too. But WLMM turned out to be very useful and the output quality is a lot better than the old WMM. The only thing a lot of people are unhappy about is the missing timeline. But I can live without that. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba - 4 laptops and 2 desktops OS Vista, Windows7, Mint Mate, Zorin, Windows 8 CPU from 1.6GHz Duo to i7 Monitor(s) Displays 2x HP w2207 Keyboard with trackball - no mices Mouse Trackball mice Hard Drives 5x HDD, 7x SSD, 12x Externals Internet Speed DSL 6000 |

Since the saved format is mp4, try changing it to mp3 format and then upload it to youtube. Not every site or every software uses the mp4 format. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom built OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit CPU AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Motherboard Gigabyte GA-MA790X-DS4 Memory GSkill 4 X 2 GB PC 8500 Graphics Card XFX Radeon HD 6790 D Sound Card On board RealTek HD Monitor(s) Displays Dual monitors:Samsung SyncMaster S20B300 Screen Resolution 1600 X 900 Keyboard Logitech G510 Mouse Razor DeathAdder PSU Ultra X4 750 watt fully modular Case Thermaltake Overseer RX 1 full tower Cooling Core-Contact 92 mm CPU Cooler Hard Drives Seagate Barracuda 1TB (primary)

He needs .wmv which is default when he does it the way I posted. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba - 4 laptops and 2 desktops OS Vista, Windows7, Mint Mate, Zorin, Windows 8 CPU from 1.6GHz Duo to i7 Monitor(s) Displays 2x HP w2207 Keyboard with trackball - no mices Mouse Trackball mice Hard Drives 5x HDD, 7x SSD, 12x Externals Internet Speed DSL 6000 Windows live movie maker help problems?
