Windows 7 freezing when playing audio/video

I've included a video so you guys at least know what I'm talking about. -- I've done some very basic things, such as update my drivers that needed to be updated, I've also scanned for possible RAT's and malware. Malwarebytes and DarkComet Remover did pop up malware, and they were removed. I have also done a System Restore on this laptop, and well, nothing has worked either.

I'm quite nervous ATM, as I have anime and media on this computer. (All were backed up just in case the bombshell dropped on this laptop.) I really do not know what to do at this point, I've done a bit of research for a few hours, and I've came across quite a few threads (not on here) about this issue. Which leads me into thinking that this is a issue with drivers, and not the internal parts. Though, I do not know, and that is why I'm asking you guys on here.

I will practically do anything out of my way to get this fixed, as i have a lot of important documents on this computer, and I really do not want to loose any of them, or even format the laptop.

    Thank you so much.

Edit: This laptop works 100% fine while running in Safe Mode w/ Networking, but when I hit a video or audio, it just freezes.

    Hi,

Thanks for including the video, but to be honest, it doesn't really show anything... You need to demonstrate the computer working fine, and then what you do to make it freeze, and then the freezing. A system freeze is when you cannot move the mouse and the keyboard or other hardware buttons have no effect on the system. If you can still use the mouse, or the keyoard/other hardware buttons still work then this is not a freeze, just a lockup which is software related, use Revo to start uninstalling software. Start at the most recent and work backwards from when the problem started.

When you say it works fine in same mode /w networking, but when you hit video or audio it just freezes, what do you mean:
    1) Computer runs perfectly in safe mode, but when you play audio/video it freezes?
    2) Computer playes audio and video in safe mode?

Both of these have different solutions.

If its option 1, then you are going to have to investigate hardware issues, most of the time, system freezes are due to faulty RAM, even though this is unlikely in the case of your laptop, its a good place to start: Memtest

If its option 2, then this is a driver issue. Safe mode does not your normal operating drivers so if it works here and not when your computer is running normally you have a driver issue. You can follow these guides to correctly uninstall and reinstall your drivers:
    ATI
    nVidia

Also, when you say it freezes playing audio, does this include system sounds, or only music tracks? What software are you using to play the audio and video?

Either way, google is your friend. There is TONS of documented work on this already, I hope thats helpful

    Max
