Odd filename "add-ons" to some video files - how do I remove them?
I transferred a few video files from an old computer of mine and somehow there are now some odd "additions" to the file names that I can't seem to eliminate. For example, one of the files I transferred over was a digitized copy of one of my old VHS tapes and now there is a block of chinese (?) characters within square brackets after the file name (for example Movie.avi [chinese]).
These "extensions" don't prevent the videos from playing but I can't figure out how to get rid of them. I've tried recopying and renaming the files but the chinese text still appears after the file names.
Any ideas on how I can get rid of the bracketed text?
