    Can't use windows media player.

    Hello.
Earlier tonight I found when I tryed to open a music file I got class not registered .
I can use another player but when I choose windows media as my default player I get this error.
It loads the windows media player then says this:

Doesn't say class not registered anymore.
Not sure what I did but any help appreciated tks.

This is a software problem (other forum sections) and not an "Audio" problem (this section).

    Hi,

Try running the Microsoft Fix it from the below mentioned URL: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/843509

If the issue still persists, then would suggest running system file checker which should fix damaged Windows Media Player components: SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

another route to go is to turn off the media player and start it again.
