Hi,
i've lately purchased new computer with windows 7 ultimate 64 bit version.
Unnfortantely ,im really not satisfied with it, due to some tearing\glitching problem im having, when i play videos on youtube, vlc, bsplayer, MPC-HC and any other players
aspecially in full screen mode.
i've updated all windows and graphic card drivers, but still didn't fix the problem.
After some research i did, i've realieazed that the cause for the issue is probably occuring by the video being redrawn by the CPU/GPU in the middle of the monitor refresh, like the fps exceeds the monitor's refresh rate capabilities (60Hz).
Also, i've found some articles that Vsync is the fix for that but only in 3D applications.
Despite this facts, i've tried changing the vsync settings in the nvidia settings panel for the video players (2D) applications, but as i thought - no solution in there, the tearing still exists being major bothersome.
For some reason, after searching a bit more abouts this issue,
i've found that after enabling windows 7 basic
AERO theme the tearing were stopped .
but after disabling it and changing to Windows 7 Basic theme,
again i began noticing screen tearing while playing YouTube videos, dragging window etc...
So somehow, the Aero theme fixes the tearing while any other basic themes without the 3d visual features of Aero, brings back the screen tearing .
Can you please assist me about fixing this unbreable issue? in order that i'll be able to see any video, in any player or browser, clearly and smoothly without this tearing? and without any theme restrictions of Aero ?
Not to the mention that this tearing would also take place on 3D PC games animations etc...
Im working on windows 7 64bit ultimate:
Intel Core i7-3770 3.4GHz , GA-Z77D3H gigabyte motherboard.
LED monitor:
LG - W2486L.
Graphic card:
GeForce GTX 660 on gigaByte pci card GV-N660OC-2GD .
Thanks in advance.
