Any idea on how to get my Windows Media Player back ?

Also, my cd/dvd drive does not work anymore either... If I try to open MP, it tells me it is not recognized and if I want to download the latest version. When I do, my system does not accept it....

Have you uninstalled it? Also the latest version I think is still 11.

Hi nck. Not sure what the problem is. But check this link out. Fix Windows Media Player video, and other media or library issues I had a lot of problems with my Media Player 12, and this tool fixed it. Click on the site where appropriate, and just follow the prompts. If the Player is still on your system some where, surely it will find it, and start to fix it. BTW, Media Player 12 is the latest one.
    Take care. Ken.
