    Problems with burning audio cd

    Hi

Recently I burnt an audio cd of some mp3 files (first converted from mp4 to mp3) so that I could listen to the music in my car. The first 2 tracks and track 15 (of 17) play alright, however the rest of them sound distorted and alternate from barely audible to really loud.

I used windows media player and specifically selected audio cd in belief that it was the correct option. I have tested the burnt audio cd on a cd-player, my computer and the cd-player of my car and the sound is the same on all devices. I even burnt another copy with the same songs but alas, the result was the same.

I would be thankful if anyone could help me.
