| | Unable to remove Read only attribute I am a photographer. I use Adobe Lightroom 4 to manage my photos. I had to reload my photos the other day. Today I was making changes in the data in my photos, when I finshed and saved the data I recevied a message that the photo was Read Only. I have tried several remidies posted here and other forums and nothing seems to help. Inless I get this resolved I will not be able to edit any of my prints. Thanks Mike |

| | Hi Mike and welcome to Windows 7 forums. You most likely need to take ownership of the files Take Ownership Shortcut This happens all the time with photos, mp3 etc in file management. |

| | Unable to remove Read Only attribute I tied what you suggested. I ran the Take Ownership, a command screen came up and a lot of files were runninh thur it. Stopped running I then unchecked the read only, exited out of the properties back to the folder. Went back in and the read only was stilled checked. Am I doing something wrong, am always going to have this problem. Or is this they way it is and just forget about the read only? Thanks for the help. Mike |
