    Remove Edit?

    Hi there,

I used paint a while ago to cover up a password and stuff on a screenshot.
I need to see this information now.

The thumbnail is un-edited however when opening the photo it applies the cover up.

I have tried going to previous versions however it is empty.

    Can anyone help?

If you saved the image in the same location with same name, it's gone. You could try a restore point to see if the original is there.
In the future doing this, save the edit with a new file name and the original will remain. :)

Well, in this case, you can at least try to extract it's thumbnail.

If your image in JPG, download this free utility ImpulseAdventure - JPEGsnoop - JPEG Decoding Utility
Them open your image in it, click Tools - Export JPEG. In new window check Extract all JPEGs. Then select a different file name for new files.
Program will extract thumbnail as well as other data.
