What is Windows Live Photo and is it shared on my computer

Hello forum - I am just enquirying as to whether you could assist me as to what Windows Live Photo is and if it is shared on my computer?

I am just a bit confused about the Skydrive feature also.

I guess - is it called a cloud form of communicating?

Do you require an account for it to be set up?

windows live photo gallery must have been installed when you downloaded and installed windows live package, it would give you live messenger ,photo gallery and other stuff.
the skydrive feature in the photo gallery is for you to upload an image to one of your existing folders on skydrive.
the idea is you have skydrive and store copies on the cloud as a safe backup.
to get skydrive you need to have a microsoft account and sign up for windows live mail or now hotmail.com
in the setting up you will get a 7Gb storage space to back up precious folders .
its also handy for sharing images with extended family and friends as you can give them a link to the folder or a shared folder that only they can see ,and only that one, the rest of your folders remain private unless you share them.

I do not remember downloading the package at all so a bit confused - I do however have Skydrive - where for the purposes of asking the forum in the Community on Microsoft so they had access.

I had to post a link for them to view.

I guess I am not sure how the other sections get onto the computer as well. ( Photo gallery etc)

I also have a Skydrive folder as well. I thought that was only online.

I do not know what the difference is with My folders and Public folders and how to change that access. There are two more computers at the house that I am in. Perhaps I can access there stuff. I am not sure if that has been set up. But will try and investigate.
