Home Videos To A TV ?

Hello,

Am about to start looking at the less expensive Laptops.
Lots to consider.

One question before I start, though:

How hard, or feasible, is it to take a home video from a Camcorder that has been saved on the HD, or possibly from a USB Memory Stick via the PC, and connect it up to a TV to watch
(rather than on the Laptop's screen) these videos ?

What should I look for in the Laptop to be able to do this (particular type of Ports ?) and what type of cabling would I need ?

Not very sharp with this, so specifics would be very appreciated.

Much thanks,
Bob

Depending on your television what type of connections it has most new televisions come with hdmi and PC connections
and even some have USB also all Laptops have hdmi these days it should be really simple for you to transfer from your hard drive to your television.

If it is saved on the HD, quite simple. All you must do is look at the available display ports on the laptop (most have VGA and HDMI), get the correct cord, plug one end into the TV, one into the laptop, select the correct source mode on the TV, and done!
