How to Import Missing Portion of Video?

After a few hours of editing a new video, I noticed that there's a few minutes missing from the original raw video that I'm editing.

Thinking the end of the video that's missing was cut-off due to some size restriction in WMP, I opened a New Project, and re-imported the raw video file.

After doing so, I identified the missing part of the video that's missing from the video that I've been editing.

I tried to copy the portion that I need from the New Project into the project that I've edited, but it puts the entire raw video at the beginning of the project that I've been editing.

Hopefully I haven't confused you. My question, is how can I get the missing portions from the raw file, and append it to the project I've spent all of this time editing?

I assume you are using Windows Live Movie Maker. I think what you need to do is to create a file by trimming out the section you need and saving the clip as an MP4 or WMV file and then import that into your original project.
