Is this a new problem or does it always happen?

Yeah, it appears to be new. I didn't have this problem since two days ago.

Have you installed anything since then or applied any sort of patch?

Is it possible to do a system restore to a time when it was working and the install your apps again and check WMP after each install to see if it has been affected?

I think you will need to this as a process of elimination to find the cause of the problem.

No because if I want to restore my system and reinstall my apps again, it nearly takes half of a day. So I prefer to find another solution and not an omitting one.
    Thanks by the way

You could try a scan of the system files to make none are corrupt by Opening command prompt as administrator and type sfc /scannow and after it's finished restart and see if it makes a difference.
