Mmmm....until today I thought that my system is probably corrupted, but after I did a fresh install,I see that I have the same "simptoms".and I+m not the only one who can't sove this all alone.
What to say about WMP and Media Center, both together?I have to say that I really like both of them, and I'm using them to open my MP3s.I have problem with them, but it's just on first opening.Once, when I make a playlist everything goes smooth without a problem, and DVD or divX?I can play it,but I feel that they are "heavy" on CPU,I felt it before in XP and I feel it now in win7.I hoped that things'll be a little bit "easier" in win7,but they are not.I picked just one desktop gadget and it's CPU and RAM meter because I like to know what's happening "down there",and I want to know it in the same moment when I look at the screen.CPU meter shows what we all know and that is the WMP is a lot "heavier" then some other multimedia apps, and even I like it personally,I have to admit that there are a lot of not so heavy, and even free apps, and in some situations it's better not to use WMP,even if you have enough CPU power and RAM.Personally,I got 5600Mhz x2 CPU and 4 GB of RAM inside(I think that's pretty enough) but I'm still avoiding it sometimes.
I have had the same problem. Cause of problem for my PC is Technical preview of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows 7. I uninstall it and PowerIso 4, WMP, Media Center works O.K. Install another antivirus and still works very well. May be this post helps you.
You'r right, but I can't uninstall my graphic driver...
When I uninstall it, no problem occurs with WMP but by install, system crush again...
So, hope for any other solution...
If you have ATI graphic card take Catalist 9.1 for Vista, it works perfect with Windows 7 7000 X64. Run it and Catalist install manager uninstall previous version of driver first and then install 9.1.
