WMP 12 - Saving video settings

    Hi people

I know that saving those settings is impossible and that it's meant to be that way ( to keep the noobs from messing the things up ) and up until WMP 12 that didn't bothered me much . In XP I was using KMPlayer/VLC for the films and ITunes for the music . Now that WMP 12 fits so well in the OS the only thing that keeps me from setting it as default video player is the missing control over the video settings . I understand completely the logic behind this "omission" but there must be a some kind of workaround to do this , some way to force WMP to remember the settings from the last time .
Meanwhile I'm using KMPlayer which does perfectly it's job but lacks the system integration that WMP 12 has

    Hue/Saturation/Brightness/Contrast

To find them in WMP 12 you have to switch to the 'Now playing' window , then right click - Enhancements/Video settings
