Photo Viewer to view transparency

Hi,

Does anyone know how to make the default Windows Photo Viewer display transparency as a checkered background (like image editing software) rather than a solid colour?

Something like this:
Name: Trans1.png
Views: 2
Size: 43.6 KB

or an alternative lightweight viewer that does this?

Cheers,
Jamie

I think you will find that the chequered background is only in an editor to indicate transparency. When you save the image to whatever format you will see a solid background. Different formats handle transparency in different ways. For instance a Gif will show a trans. background but a JPEG won't. It's all how they handle the "Alpha Chanel"
If you really want to show the chequered BG then create one in the editor first and use that as the bottom layer!
