Windows Scan and Fix - Now I cannot find files

The SD card for my digital camcorder appeared to have some corrupted/inaccessable files and Windows prompted me to scan and fix, which I said OK to without researching it. Now the card appears to be completely devoid of accessible files, but is still nearly full (16 gb). I tried Recuva after seeing similar posts to mine and it says it found 410 files that it "ignored". No matter what settings I change in the program it says the same thing. I have tried other recovery tools with similar results. Is this situation hopeless? Any ideas?

Hi and Welcome to the Forum
I assume that as you have 410 files on this card that they are still shots as JPEG files? This sounds odd but can you check that the date and time is showing correctly on both your PC and your camcorder? The date is important? Have you tried viewing the fiels from within the camcorder? What is the make and model BTW?

Actually, they are .m2ts avchd video files mostly (I take a bunch of short clips of my baby). The camcorder is a Panasonic HDC SD60. As far as date/time, both seem to be correct, and a different SD card i put in the computer and camcorder works fine in both. I messed around with recurva a little more and it shows the files listed as .chk and various info about clusters "allocated at offset". If that info would be helpful let me know. But all files in recurva say "not deleted". Hmmmm...

Usually one would expect the SD card to have .mts files and when you transfer to the PC they assume the .m2ts format. Have you never transferred any of the files to the PC. On most Camcorders you get a message reminding you to back uo your files to the PC. If you transfer to the PC how do you do this. With a USB connecton to the PC or putting the card into a card reader?
