View external Blu Ray player on Computer

I recently bought a Blu Ray Player for my HDTV. It uses HDMI. I also have an HDMI connection from my computer to the TV. Is it possible for me to view the external player on my computer? I tried connecting the 2 HDMI ports, computer and BD but the BD does not show up on the computer.

The player is also connected to the wireless network. It shows me all the sites I can visit so I know that parts working. I can see my wife's computer but not the player. Any ideas?

I ended up buying a Pioneer 208DBK for the desktop. Problem solved.
