I have this program called Media Preview, which effectively lets you have custom thumbnails (allowing the user to choose at what percentage in the video a thumbnail is chosen. The Program allows you to configure at what % in a video file (of a variety of vid formats) a thumbnail is generated; along with how luminescent the thumbnail is and it's entropy level. You can even set the program to do automatic retries before settling on a pic, this all takes about 1-2 for each video. The good thing about this program is you can do each video separatley, allowing videos to have thumbs at diff percentages. My problem is this...I am trying to back up my custom thumbnailed music videos (all 229 of them) and when I copy them to my external HDD...they simply revert to the windows generated thumbnail. Is there anyway to prevent this or make a copy of the videos that retain the custom thumbnails..that way I won't have to redo all these videos over again if I have to reinstall my OS or need to put these vids on a diff pc of mine. I have tried a variety of clone programs and fileboss, which don't seem to work.
