Thumbnail icon on WMV file seems to be 'tagged' on

As you know, Windows will show a picture representation of a video file when you click on it (as long as you're not using list/details view etc). I'm currently working on a wmv file that, even if I take a clip from the middle of it, the thumbnail shown is the same as the original file i.e. a frame that doesn't appear in the newly created clip. Never seen that before. Is this a 'tag' and, if so, is it removeable? Thanks for any assistance offered.

Run it thru the Windows Live Movie Maker. Maybe that will remove the old tag. Just make sure you select .wmv as output filetype - .mp4 is the default.

Hi whs and thanks for that. However, I'll happily live with the weird tag as it would take so long to run my whole project through Movie Maker. I was hoping there might be something such as mp3tag for video but apparently not. Thanks again.
