    Unknown WMP version does not play mov or flv


    Hi, All,

    I have just installed W7 32 bit over my old 64 bit. Now WMP will not play *.flv and sound only in *.movs. I cannot find help/about to identify the version and cannot download a stand alone version from Microsoft.

    How can I find out the version and how can I get it to play *.flvs properly?

    I would use VLC - plays anything.

    How can I find out what version of WMP I have when there is no help/about?

    I don't think it gives you any version number - at least I could not find any on mine.
