Perhaps the encoding method has changed slightly and your codecs will need updating.

    You could try K-lite:

It sounds like you have downloaded a webm version of the video. This will not be playable in WMP without extra codecs (K-lite) as suggested above. You could also try VLC as your player, it will play almost anything out of the box.VideoLAN - Official page for VLC media player, the Open Source video framework!

Youtube has many formats of video now as they let you change your resolution. Ex: 480p, 720p, and 1080p

The lower quality versions can be a flv file or a mp4 file.... were HD videos (1080p) will be WEBM.

I also suggest you get a codec like k-lite or download a video player like vlc player.

I personally like VLC player the most becuase as Kado said it can play virtually any file format.

    Hope this helps.

I would stay away from any codec pack - that spells trouble. The VLC suggestion is better or convert the video to another filetype - e.g. .wmv.

Yes! i am pretty sure it is malware/virus etc... AVOID like the plague!!
These are the guys who flash up adds on music donwloader sites pretending to be the real site when they are not and then get you to download who knows what onto your PC and maybe get you to use their player etc. etc.
Seriously get rid of anything thats linked to Ilivid they are one of the worst on the net for hacking those download buttons, they make them the same color as the real ones so can be very hard to tell at times, you may be on a legit site but they hijack by paying for adverts which they take a lot of time blending into the webpages graphics and usually it's a simple DOWNLOAD button. I'm sure they will work but they will also fill your PC with virus and who knows what....
