Windows Movie Maker Access Denied message

    Hi

I keep getting the above access denied message when I click on WMM. This has only started to happen since I updated the windows essential 2012 at the weekend. Im not saying the two things are connected but obviously there is an argument they are. Nothing else has been installed or changed on my laptop. WMM was working before I did the update, which I left to run overnight. But after that it wont work.

I have been on the windows official forum and followed advice to do a clean boot, to try scannow, I uninstalled windows essentials and reinstalled them. I have tried to load it in SAFE mode, and I even got the control panel change/uninstall to repair windows essential.

Finally I did a restore to the point prior to updating windows essential.....and the restore point will not work.

I like WMM and am teaching my daughter how to edit videos with it. Its just really frustrating that I now cant use it!

    Any help appreciated.

maybe the user account isn't supposed to use WMM. did you try openingit up in Administrator account? Usually that error message comes up if the user didn't have the privilege of using a certain program.
