wmp 12 playlists showing path to removed external drive
WMP12, Win 7 Prof 32 bit
due to the large amount of MP3s on my hard drive, I have decided to move most of them to an external drive, removing them from my PC's harddrive. The MP3s I'm moving are parts of playlists that I created. While I was copying some of the MP3s I decided to copy them to a second external drive as a 'backup'. Silly me pointed WMP to that 2nd external drive as a music library source. When I realized that my playlists are now showing BOTH external drives as music source for a playlist, I REMOVED the 2nd external drive as a library source. However the playlists are still showing that as an external location for the MP3s in the playlists.
I have closed WMP and restarted with no change. Is there any way, besides physically removing the extra no longer available location in each and every playlist (a few hundred btw), to quick fix this? Once the MP3s were deleted from the PC's harddrive, THOSE locations were removed from the playlists. So now a playlist points to external drive A and external drive B, even though external drive B is no longer supposed to be looked at.
Thanks for any help and advice
