Pictures don't display in order

Well, that was good enough because today it's fine. Don't ask me why, but today, the pictures advance in alphabetical order when I click on the forward arrow. I did nothing to the computer, just went on it and checked again today, and several picture folders are advancing in the right order. Maybe you two are magic!

Thank you for your help, both of you!

I still would recommend the FastStone Image Viewer. Once you used that, you never look back. It has a myriad of functions that you find nowhere else.

You apparently installed some 3rd party editor/viewer. Changing the default jpg file association probably would help.

Maybe using the sort option could be helpful.

Hi,
Still not at all sure what program your using to view the files ?
Windows explorer doesn't do that it will give you a preview but that's about it,
See the link above my signature picture to take screen shots so we might have a Clue what program is opening with the Images,
Cheers.

when sorting pictures they automatically go in 'descending order'
while working with pictures, when I click on 'view' then 'sort by' then 'day' to put them in order of being taken, it automatically also put them in 'descending' order which means they are in reverse order. can anyone tell me how to stop this happening please. Thanks:confused:

Changinig pictures order in folder?
Hi! I have a (bad)habit to organize my pictures without using any programs. I drag&drop pictures to the order I wanted them to be and then renamed them to keep the order. Sadly in Windows 7 I'm not able to change pictures or any kind of files position in folder. Is there a way to enable it?...
