Same thumbnail in every mp3 files.

    Hi folks!

I use this site where I download videos from Youtube that converts them in mp3 format.
The problem came from there, this one file I downloaded. The same thumbnail started showing in every mp3 file. I have Windows installed in ssd and musics are in hdd. There is no issues in the music folder, every album covers seem to show right but when I drag and drop ANY mp3 file into desktop, even the thumbnail's scale is wrong. and when I see the properties, there aren't any actual album cover or thumbnail.

I captured a screenshot. There are three example files on the left side and there is the original file in the right side which actually has an album cover.

Any idea where to begin with to solve this issue? It's not anything big but as a perfectionist, this creeps me so much and I don't know what to do.

    Thank you!

Welcome to Seven Forums Turang. Try restoring the file type association. Scroll down to mp3

Windows Media Player is known for forcing the download of thumbnails, getting them mixed up or completely wrong and setting one for a folder because it thinks it's an album. I'd use MP3TAG to manually change each mp3's albumart/thumbnail.

Viper13, That is a one way to fix it, but only temporarily. I appreciate your help but it wouldn't completely solve the issue.

A Guy, Thank you! I restored the file type association. It actually worked! I couldn't believe it was that simple.

I knew I could rely on this forum!

    Cheers!

You're welcome. It was a likely fix. Something to keep in mind when something "takes over" a file types icons
