Windows Explorer not showing tiff file previews
I have spent many hours over the last couple of days trying to solve a problem with an Adobe Lightroom plug-in called Perfectly Clear. When making adjustments to Canon CR2 files the results should be saved in a tiff file created by either Lightroom or Perfectly Clear, I am not sure which. The problem is Perfectly Clear gives me a error message that it can not load the tiff file. If I save the adjustments to a jpg file then everything is O.K.
The Perfectly Clear help desk is stumped for now.
What I have found out is Lightroom, Photoshop CC and Bridge can all see these tiff files however when I use Windows explore to view a preview of any of these tiff files all I see is a screen full of gray noise.
I recently reinstall Windows 7 on a new C: drive and installed all the updates. In my research I came across a Microsoft KB Article #2619291 and attempted to apply the hotfix. I received a message stating this hotfix does not apply to my computer.
I am attaching two files that show image 20140330 Fairmont PK 8544.tif showing in Lightroom and Windows Explorer.
I hope someone here has some idea that so far eludes me and Anthetech's help desk.
