Where does "My Music" go when you change an HDD to a data drive?
Recently my computer bit the dust after I very intelligently unplugged it while it was on when getting ready to move... The PSU died and I'm pretty sure it fried the motherboard in the process. The HDD with Windows 7 in the computer works fine though, so when I bought a new computer with an SSD and Windows 8.1 I decided to plug my old HDD as the secondary drive for data storage.
The problem I'm encountering is that I can't find any of my music, most of which was in the "My Music" folder on my HDD. I know that a lot of the programs I had on my HDD aren't going to work when I'm booted up in Windows 8.1 because they were all downloaded or installed to run with Windows 7, but I know that the music still exists somewhere on the drive (The HDD is just as full as it was previously), I just can't seem to find it.
Is there any way (other than restarting in BIOS and booting from my HDD with Windows 7) for me to access my music and move it to a generic folder on my HDD that will be more easily accessible than the disappeared "My Music" folder? I've already tried enabling show hidden files and folders.
Thanks!
