I accidently deleted My Videos folder and emptied recyble bin

Ok so I accidentally deleted the my videos folder, not the public but the one in c:\users\ahmed and I tried to recover but it doesn't look right compared to all my files.

I found out the new videos file i manage to create is a library file and it doesnt have the right icon compared to the one I deleted.

My music file is a file folder and has the right icon

Is there any way I could get the my videos folder back instead of this library one

    thanks

    im on windows 7 btw

ill upload some screen shots so you can see how the properties look like compared to the new video folder and the my music folder.

The easiest to try is a System Restore. Tutorial if needed.> System Restore

Pick a date and time before you deleted to restore from.

It should put everything back as it was.

    hi all :)
also its worth mentioning a file recovery program called Recuva by piriform >>> Recuva - Undelete, Unerase, File and Disk Recovery - Free Download

    Undelete files on your computer
We've all deleted files by mistake, or without realizing we'd want them at some future point. Photographs, documents, music files, even emails - we've all had regrets. With Recuva, you can get them back quickly, safely, and easily. This compact Windows program does the work for you, scanning your drives for the files you need, then recovering them in a flash.
Recuva works on any rewriteable media you have. Whether you need to recover priceless photographs from your digital camera's memory card, files you backed up to an external hard drive, or the documents you carry around every day on your USB key, Recuva's got you covered. For prosumer and pro photographers, Recuva supports the Nikon RAW and Canon RAW (.CRW) formats.
If you listen to music on an iPod, Recuva can recover files directly from the iPod's drive. Even though you can't access files on your iPod directly, Recuva can. You don't have to worry about losing music from iTunes or your iPod any more.

Good deal. Thank you Mike. I never looked at this option for a variety of reasons

    1. My data is always on a seperate data partition
    2. I rely 100% on my images - although I do allow restore points on my data partitions (for extra safety)
    3. I have no shadowstorage on my OS partitions because they are all on SSDs where space is at a premium
