Corrupted Pictures in the Local Disk

Recently I had a problem with my hard disk, in the boot log it said "There is a problem with your hard disk". Now I am having a problem with one of my local disk. The local disk contains only pictures and most of the pictures are corrupted.

The corrupted pictures looks nice and good when it is viewed in large icon but when you double click it half of the pictures are either scrambled or looks grey or fully pixelated or invalid image.

After a disk check the occupied disk space became less and all the folders in the local disk are having a small lock symbol at the bottom.

Please help, even if I put a new folder containing pictures in the local disk, it also gets corrupted !!

The bigger picture is double clicked and the smaller picture is viewed in extra large icons.

    OK, I remember your name.:)

About a week ago you started a thread There is a problem with the Hard Disk but never returned to tell us what has happened.

Is that problem resolved? If so how?

Thanks for observing my posts but the problem in the hard disk is not yet solved. I have temporarily disabled S.M.A.R.T function in the bios since every time it shows up. I have planned to take a backup and erase everything in the hard disk.
So any solutions for this thread?

Is this HDD which you refer as a Local Disk an internal HDD apart from your system drive which you have indicated is problematic??

Please plug-out all connected USB drives including pen drives and post a screenshot of Windows Disk Management showing your internal drives in confirmation.

Next copy some of the photos which you see corrupted onto a pen drive and view those on another computer. Are those OK or appear corrupted in the other PC too?
