Windows 7 - VLC playback blocky/pixelated?

| | Same here. I thought it was my card but reading this thread looks like it's general rather than an isolated problem. VLC worked fine with my old x1800GTO, I replaced it with a HD4650 and now if I watch a movie with VLC the output is pixelated unless I change the default playback driver to OpenGL. | | maybe its HD4000 series problem? i also have amd hd4870 card. i wonder if anyone has this problem with nvidia card. |

Apparently it happens on Nvidia cards as well. might find an answer/fix other than using the OpenGL output in this thread.
