    Tool to control display brightness by command line?


    The control panel has a nice slider bar for controlling the screen/display brightness, but I have a need to adjust it via a command line statement. Is there a way to do this in Windows or a utility that can do it for me?

    Basically, I am looking for a solution that would allow me to set brightness to 90% or 30% (examples) in a command script. The computer will be unattended and I cannot foresee what power plan might be in place.

    Solutions? Thanks in advance.

    Soho I don't know if this will be of any help - I don't understand it fully myself and I would be doing some back ups before I tried any of it.

On my desktop system I'm able to make the command line disappear/appear by pressing the ALT key. On my laptop when I press the ALT key all IE9 does is change the accelerator key display (underline key letter). I would to disable the command line on the laptop to get a little more display area...

Is there fast copy tool at command line? I want to copy several folders and files at command line as fast as possible. I tried fastcopy, but it opens windows and need to confirm.
I have an Acer Aspire 8935G with W7 HP 64 on an SSD and Vista HP 64 on an HDD. The Fn keys controlling the display brightness control work on the Vista boot but not on the W7 boot. All the other Fn keys function as they should on the W7 boot. The Aspire has an OEM ATI Radeon HD4670 graphics card....
