How to lock the JPEG files to be uncopyable

    Hello all,

I have many JPEG files (pictures) on my USB flash memory. I give it to my customers to look at those pictures and choose one (then I make their order based on that selection). I want they can look at the pictures but don't can to copy or drag-and-drop them. Is there such a way?

    I use Windows 7.

There is no way to do that. Even if you find a lock mechanism, they can always snip the pictures. The only protection I can think of is a watermark. But else, there is little hope. I can copy any picture that appears on my screen - no need to copy, download, drag and drop or similar. Just a snip will do.

You can also if you're within a network create a folder of particular .jpg, right click and not share it.

Huh?????? A networked thumb drive you hand to someone? How does that work? The OP wants the customer to be able to view the images.

By the way, watermark ONLY the copies you give to the customer. You might include a number on the photo too so there's no confusion of which one(s) they want.

If I can see it on my screen, I can copy (snip) it. I can even print it - to .pdf or .xps. Just press CTL+P. There is no escape.

Only one question about watermark please. OK, I chose watermark to mark my pictures, but those pictures are many. How can I mark them (that is, watermark them) as fast as possible? Is there any good tool or way for that?
