Hi Sevenforums, I had Aiseesoft Total video Converter Platinum version.
After Converting a normal video say 640*480 P MP4 video of 18 MB Size,to a HD Video(1080P) of 150-180 MB ,memory size and resolution had changed,but the visual quality looks similar.
I cant see the difference in converted video similar to original 1080P Video in youtube. Why??
Suggest best video converter if above one is not good!!
You can only improve the quality at the source. A 640x480 video is no good by design. There is nothing you can do about it.
You can always go down in resolution and have excellent result. I/E 1080P downscaled to 720 or 480p.
But you can not go up with any significant improvement. You can achieve a small improvement, but not much at all if any. Nothing worth the file size increase anyway.
If you're looking for a bit more specific reason as to why, in a nutshell:
When you recode a video, the encoder looks for the best bits and pieces of the image it can simply throw away. By doing so it can compress the video into a smaller size, resolution, or both. These bits are, for the most part, things the human eye will not notice. Only if the quality level is set too low will you begin to really notice it.
Also, the smaller the resolution, the more of the image you can "throw away".
The problem is you can not put those bits back one they have been removed or, in the case of upscaling, if they were never there.
When upscaling the encoder will increase the resolution, sharpen, and try to fill in the missing pieces/pixels the best it can. And for the most part it does a very good job. But, if the original source has a bad image quality so will the upscaled result.
Your results will depend on the quality of the source, or lack of quality.
