Print photos off Windows DVD maker dvd

How does one print photos of a disc having downloaded via the Windows DVD Maker method. All I see when I play the disc on my pc is the photo, no instructions on how to print from it all My pc crashed, thought I had been doing regular back ups to no avail, however had downloaded pics on to DVDs.

If you open Windows Explorer and click on the CD/DVD drive in the left column can you see the pictures in the right panel? If so, right-click one and choose Open with then in the list click on Windows Picture Viewer, has a Print function in it plus other things.

I have followed Berton's instructions but this message appears 'Windows Photo Viewer cant open the picture because ether Photoviewer doesn't support this file format or you don't have th elatest updates to Photo Viewer'.
How does one overcome this problem.
