Cannot Rename File (File Name Changes Back)

I am sorting my music library by the artist and renaming the files one by one.
After a while, I notice some small shift while working; some of the renamed files would 'disappear' and return to the top.

So it was like:
> 01 - title here
> 02 - title here
> singer - title

[RENAMING]

> 01 - title here
> singer - title
> singer - title

*blink*

> 01 - title here
> 02 - title here
> singer - title

=====

Is there any way to stop this before I pull all my hair out? It's just so frustrating!

Some things to take note:
> I was not listening to any of the songs nor opening WMP
> well I listened to the renamed file tho
> after listening, the other file got affected, not the file I was listening to.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

Renaming will not happen if a song file is read-only.

Preview Pane Issue - Can't rename file
I recently found I could not rename an MS Word file selected in Windows Explorer while the Preview Pane was "on". Apparently, Windows opens a Winword process to display the file and Windows considers the file "open". With Preview Pane "off", the Winword process quits and the file can then be...
