    WMP-update or not?

I have Windows Media Player, version 12.0.7601.18150 for Windows 7. Is there any reason why I should/need to update to the latest/newest (if there is one) version?

    Hi,
You did post the current version I have so unless your having issues with the current version I don't see any reason to upgrade it,
But being a Microsoft product any updates would come through the windows update system so there's no real action for you to take in that regard,

I believe this version is okay allot of people might use a third party player if more features or codec are needed for their files,
    Cheers.

    WMP-update or not?

    Thanks Gary,

Maybe you might have some ideas/suggestions about this:

Create album for thumb drive Windows Media Player

For my German language lessons, I have recorded many words/phrases individually and filed them in a folder. I would like to put them all on one album so they will play consecutively. I want to put the album on a memory stick (thumb drive) so that I can use it with a portable player to listen/practice while in flight to Germany.
Does you know of a page with step by step instructions for doing this? This is an excellent example of what I mean by step by step instructions: How to record your computer’s sound output (on Windows) with Audacity, Virtual Audio Cable and SoundLeech | Sheesania

    Hi,
Youtube is full of great videos on creating slide shows .wmv videos with existing files with windows movie maker a program included in windows essentials 2012 I believe is the current version,
Windows Essentials - Download Windows Live Essentials
Which you might actually have it already just waiting to be opened ?
    Click Start and All programs,
Scroll all the way to the bottom of the list and see if there's a Windows Live folder or essentials folder ?
Go to youtube and search for windows movie maker,

    Ok thanks,

This looks interesting (my programs didn’t have either) so I’ll try it but I’m not trying to make any kind of video/movie. I just want to make a little audio album of words and phrases.

Go to the top right corner and tick on the scale. It is the one in the middle of the 3 objects and you will be able to rep ThrashZone

    Beats me what this means.

I try to upload pictures (png) from my desktop (nothing from websites) and it asks for URLs………….monkey biz. Followed instructions: Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums and still got file error monkey biz.

Do you suppose Dick Cheney has hacked into this website?
