Open an mp3 in Winamp rather than the browser player window

I'm stumped as to know how to reset a stream that opens in the browser window as a default and have it open in Winamp (for example) instead.

I've simply forgotten under which control console item in Win 7 that this should happen.

The goal is once this is set, the browser can navigate away from the stream and the stream will continue to play until the player is closed.

Is this a stand alone file on the PC ?

If so just right click it, choose open with, then pick the default player you want, if it`s listed.

Maybe if I got the right phrase for 'select default audio player' to open an mp3?

I found this for Winamp. Maybe can do it through the player.

Use Winamp or other player for streaming in Win7
In old Win XP I had regularly used specific players such as WinAmp for m3u files to stream news broadcasts from websites. And I've seen a similar Folder Options routine in Win7. But the peculiar thing that happens regardless of how I specifiy a player in Win7 is a black open browser window...

Adding 'open in new window' to search results, & opening in new window
Whenever I search in W7, I want to have the ability to open found folders in a new window. If I r-click, that option is not there. Is there a way to add this to W7? Also: When I go to 'open file location', the file's folder opens in the same window - highly annoying. In Vista, it opens in a new...

Winamp new version Cant get rid of Browser Window
Hi all It seems Winamp is going the way of NERO --originally a fantastic program at what it did but so much extra bloat being added on it's driving me crazy. The old version had a nice clean interface when you played music -- the latest version insits on having a BROWSER window open even if...

Windows 7 won't let me open .m3u with Winamp
For some reason, whenever I do "Open with" and select Winamp.exe, Windows 7 does not register that I chose it, and does not display Winamp in the list. Any ideas why? I am thinking a clean install is in order. I have all of my files on another HD, so this is not a big deal at all.
