Resized pic won't copy paste new size pic

Dell Inspiron 560 desktop; MS Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64bit; Windows Live Mail 2012; MS Word Pro 2003; Mozilla Firefox 22.0]

Hello, I just resized a picture with Paint to a medium size, then I copied pasted it on my Word 2003 in order to print it from there, but when I pasted it, it became enormously large! I tried 5 or 6 times with the same results. I followed all the instructions to resize and only the first picture I did resulted in a correct size. The 2nd one keeps pasting as an enormous picture.

Please help? Thanks ever so much!

    Hi,
You should be using Insert image not paste
You should also save the changes to the resized file as a separate file first then use insert and browser to that file,
Scale it if it does not fit as you expected,
    Cheers.

Or you can do the paint and you can resize the picture in there as well.

Thank you ThrashZone, but how do you use "an Insert image"? Also, good that you remind me of saving the new size because I don't recall whether or not I did, so I'll try again, but hope to know what's the Image Insert too. Thanks again! :) Adela

Thank you Ryan, but the Paint program is what I used and resized in..... :)

Hi and sorry for the late reply,
I don't have 2003 office so your menu will be different,

Thanks again for the screenshot, I just returned from a trip myself. I'll try to save first the pic then insert, but I'll see if I have the "Insert" button. :)
