Converting SWF files for youtube or starting fresh

I have a bunch of tutorial video's of my desktop while narrating.

I figure I might as well put them on youtube so I can get some "creed" and some traffic for my site.

The videos I've uploaded to Screencast are SWF's using Jing.I can download them in the SWF format so how can I convert them to a format I can use on youtube?

Next question is what progie can I use to do video screen capture and have it so I can upload it to youtube. Free, of course, if possible.

I got a recommendation of handbrake to convert the SWS files to AVI. I get an error message: Your source may be copy protected, badly mastered or in a format which handbrake does not support.

If I can't get handbrake to work are there other video screen capture programs with audio that would work like Jing?

    Thanks kado897,

But Freemake won't open the swf files downloaded from screencast either. They must have protected them somehow. Or something.

First of all, we should know that SWF is not supported by YouTube. The following are the formats that YouTube is compatible with: MOV, MPEG-4, MP4, AVI, WMV, FLV, 3GPP, WebM and MPEG-PS.

To share SWF file in YouTube, a widely used way is converting SWF to YouTube more compatible formats with Faasoft SWF to YouTube Converter.
