It asks me if I want to save to Documents. I can save there. If I try saving like a spreadsheet, I have to save it elsewhere. I tried the idea of a new account, however everything I had is gone.

Hi,
As long as the folders are in a public area then all other user accounts can access them,

Using your suggestion I will now move all my pictures to Public Pictures. This was all caused by Win10. As I have already reset my computer once within the last 12 months, I'd rather not do that again any time soon!

Oh well, thank you so much for your time & attempted help! I will just have to live with the fact that I will again at some future time need to reload my system again! :-(

Oops sorry
A new administrator user account would hopefully do that

Saving pics - other than in My Pictures
As an architect - I often need to save 100's of drawings every day. In the 'good old days' of XP (forgive me!!) it was very straightforward to save drawings in 'chronological' (as opposed to 'alphabetic') order, in any file, on any disc on my system. Also - as long as that file remained 'open'...
