Windows Movie Maker (For W7) Messes up my audio!

On this game called Stepmania, I record myself playing this song with Fraps, and do some editing in MM, but this is what happened to the sound when I published it. It like skips, and gets offset with the notes. TWICE. The second one just ruins it.

Which specific MM are you using? I don't think Win 7 ships with that application.

There is more than 1 version of MM that will work on Windows 7. You may have better luck with another version? I am using MM 6 as found on Vista.

Not sure the specific version number, but it allows you to directly publish to YouTube, and this happened when I did so. The version downloadable from the Microsoft website.

Open the application, go to the help menu, open "About Windows Movie Maker". It should tell you what version. You may have 2.6?

Did you get it through Windows Live or do you have any reason to believe it is connected to Windows Live in any way??

There is a version available through Windows Live, but I don't know what version number it would display.

I know of 3 choices: the Windows Live version, MM 2.6, and MM 6, which was included in Vista and works well in Win 7.

I don't know that changing versions will necessarily solve your problem.

I just ran your version number through Google.

It certainly appears to correlate with the Windows Live version of Movie Maker. I suggest you google for issues with that particular product---I have heard of some without actively looking for them.
