    Format question


    I have a 4 year old Toshiba laptop running windows 7. I have been trying to connect Plex media server to my Roku 3. Whenever I try to watch a video it says the format is not supported. Would this be something with my computer, windows 7 too old. Or would it be with my tv, which is a Samsung about 5 years. old. I'm not a super techie type person so this has been so frustrating for me. Any help out there?

    First I'm no expert.

    It has to do with the format of the files you're trying to play.

    In my case rather than re encode all my MKV files that choked on Roku, I found another solution envolving an NAS drive and a BluRay player with a media server. Obviously that's a work around, not a viable solution generally speaking.

In the past Windows gave you options of quick and full format at setup Now Win 7 only gives the quick option as far as I know Would full be better or not.. and is it possible to do a full format without reverting to old Windows versions setup disks

Probably on upcoming Monday or Tuesday i'm going to upgrade my RAM to 4GB and going to buy a new Sound Card as well which will support the 64bit OS. I always use 2 sound cards. I am trying to create a bullet list using A B C D however... I want to put each letter in a circle for multiple-choice questions yet MSWord's bullet list doesn't offer this letter-in-a-circle style. Anybody know how I can get a bullet list with this style? thanks reasoner

I'm upgrading my Desktop from Win7 32 to 64 bit. I have 55 gb of music to backup. I have an ipod that can accomodate that music in a library, but not hold the 55gb as files on an external HD. SHOULD I... just format and use 3rd party software (CopyTrans, etc) to take my music from the ipod...
