Windows 7: Youtube window within window

Youtube window within window

Some youtube videos have this window within a window display, and I can't get rid of it.

I'm guessing it has something to do with "magnify"? or resolution?

Is this something I can fix or does the problem lie with the way it was uploaded to Youtube, since some videos display normally and others display in this way?

Thanks.

P.S. I guess the first question is, do you also see two windows here, or does it look like a normal display that you can make fullscreen?

Yes I see two windows , one small and in focus and the larger one out of focus.

I would say it was the video itself.

My guess is:
This was meant to prevent the software that automatically scans videos from figuring out that it is copyrighted material.

Thanks very much. I've heard of "channels" before but don't know how they work. Do people buy them in order to have a special place for their own uploads? Is the screen shot of all the videos clickable, and can I (or anyone) access that place?

While I do think copyright has a place, I wonder how it benefits the person using it to block films, for example, or, in this case, the pre-1995 Taggart episodes, before Mark McManus died.

Anyone should be able to get to the view shown in derekimo's screenshot,

...and then here:

Youtube window within window-2.png

All of the videos in the "Home view" or the "Videos view" are clickable.

I don't know the answer to your question about channels.

If material is still under copyright protection, then perhaps royalties are going to the copyright holder. The copyright holder is probably not the creator of the material. The creator might get paid a tiny amount from these royalties. If the creator is dead, then those tiny payments probably go to his/her estate - thus benefiting any benefactors of that estate (e.g. children or cats).
