3gp files on windows 7

I am unable to get the sound when I try to play a movie sent to me from my son's web site. It's my grandson's first steps and I'd like to hear and see it. I tried to download a couple of converter program but nothing seems to work. Help and please try to keep it simple.

Hey Jerry and welcome o seven forums

first thing I would check is the sound driver. typw device manager in search. go to the audio tab and look for your sound card. is it present? does it have a yellow triangle on it?

let us know the results
