animated gifs and windows photo viewer

I guess it's bad code, it doesn't give me animation when opening gifs.

I have never tried it so I did not know, sorry.

No need to apologize Jerry, you didn't write the code.

MS explanation is that w7 has a picture viewer and most people don't have animated pics.

Have you looked at this Windows 7 Gif Viewer Works perfectly it works as a viewer but not in explorer.

YEs, I've looked at most of them. Like the OP I was hoping someone would come up with a way to make them animate in the w7 pic viewer.

It won't work for me either. Try just double clicking an image.

When I right click on an image & open with "Windows Photo & Fax Viewer" I get this message:



I installed it & then uninstalled it & then installed it again. What am I doing wrong? what do I need to delete or re-download?
I also tried goofwear's method, it also won't work.

I was just providing the download I never used it.
