Playlists not showing in WMP after Win 10-Win 7 reversion

I was using WMP in Windows 10 quite happily with my 5 playlists showing up ok, but since I reverted back to Win 7 (thankfully!) WMP refuses to show the playlists despite them being in the right folder (the one listed in my Settings as the Default Save location). If I open them up using Windows Explorer I can add to them & save them but they still won't show.

I've tried all sorts of fixes from deleting everything in the WMP folders in AppData through clearing out all the temp files etc I could find. One instance of running the Windows Troubleshooter did seem to indicate that the database might be corrupted but when I "soft" deleted it by changing the name, WMP chose not to rebuild it so I was left with a basically reset program - not what I expected or wanted obviously so I had to revert back to using the original one.

Anyone any other solutions I might try to see if I could get this sorted (preferably not reinstalling & rebuilding from scratch).
Thanks

Solved this one myself easier than I expected - rennamed the old playlists and then opened each up by double-clicking. Then just did a Save As from the List Options drop down box

Figuring out WMP 12 - Now Playing and Playlists
In my prior WinXP, I didn't do very much with WMP (frankly didn't listen to much music on the PC). On the work machine (a Vista laptop) I've enjoyed the Whitecap visualizations - of course in WMP 12 it was difficult to figure out how to get the same stuff done. Seems like the preferred method...
