Windows 7: Everything in my "Pictures" folder disappeared! How to get them back?

You should really buy an external hard drive to store your data on, and disconnect it when you`re not using it.

Never leave an external drive connected when you`re not using it.

Examples:

New, Western Digital, Desktop External Hard Drives, Hard Drives, Components - Newegg.com

Or personally I would add another hard drive to the system for data storage and disk images, at least one, I have 7 drives connected to this PC alone.

Seems a contradiction to me
Internal drives are not much different than external drives they are equally corruptible
If the system can read them so can any virus/ malware....

My "My Pictures" folder has disappeared
Hello I recently set up a new PC which has a new install of Windows 7. I have entirely new hard drives, so I have been using a hard drive port to copy data from my old PC hard drives. I dumped all my data in Storage (E: ) and was thinking about where to store all my pictures, etc....
