The HID driver/service is related to Keyboards and mice so as long you're not seeing any lost functionality there it should be OK to run without it.

I would advise that rather than disable it you set the service to manual start just in case something you add later requires it - if you then have the issue again you will at least know where to start.

If you disable the service completely if you add new hardware in the future that requires the service it will not work and possibly not report the reason.

As for why this is happening on your system it could be some incompatibility with the HID service and the actual mouse and/or keyboard in use. I would look out for upgrades to these and retest when they are available
